Borderlines T-Shirt

For the 15th Anniversary of Borderlines Film Festival, I was part of a competition within my University to create a graphic that could be used on a t-shirt that encapsulates what the Borderlines Film Festival is all about.

I started with a graphic of a film reel at the bottom with an eye inside, which then stretched up and encompassed imagery that reflects the towns/countys where the Film festival takes place, rural-ish farming counties of Hereford & Shropshire. The reel sews through the people (& Animals) to create a tight knit community of people who enjoy having the films come to them!

I then created the typography at the top to match in with the design as though its made out of the film reel, square and not uniform, finishing with the ‘s’ that attached to the reel.

I started out on my first set of designs using bright colours but I didn’t think this reflected the feel of the festival so I used 2 colours that contrast.
