I created the Knot Too Mention Logo for a small handmade macrame business start up. The logo reflects the intricate yet clean design aesthetic of the macrame products, trying not to overcomplicate but also giving the sense of the process of macrame with the overlapping hoops, she had also used a lot of the rainbow shapes in her macrame design so I wanted to incorporate that here. The font was chosen to be readable but also look hand drawn to link back to these pieces all being handmade, with the more readable sans serif ‘macrame’ underneath. The colours were also chosen from the designs she had already made and she requested pinks, I wanted to choose more calm pinks rather than bold & bright colours to reflect back to macrame being bohemian and earthy, natural & sustainable.
